  • Reading about roots, stems, and leaves and then observing plant stems outdoors.
  • Tracking weather twice a day.
  • Studying the puakenikeni lifecycle.
  • Observing and drawing a lifecycle found outdoors.
  • Learning about the many uses of plants through the Lāʻau video.
  • Investigating albizia trees as an invasive species.
  • Deciding whether albizia should be removed and supporting that decision with evidence.
  • Learning how pollination works.
  • Observing flowers and identifying the stigma and pollen dusters.
  • Investigating the relationship between bees and plants.
  • Brainstorming ways to prevent bees from helping invasive plants spread without harming the bees.
  • Creating an artistic product to teach an ʻohana member what was learned.
