Multi-Day Tree Gratitude and Observation Program
Students learn tree parts, go outside to meet and observe a tree with their senses, brainstorm what trees do for people, create “thank you” hearts from recycled cereal boxes, learn Hawaiian words for tree parts, make leaf and flower art for a class tree display, and draw themselves with a tree friend. The program also encourages discussion about what people can do to help trees, and can end with a bulletin board or outdoor hanging display.
